Lightweight Screw Jack

This is the replacement to my quick lift jack. It is lighter and much more compact, small enough to fit in your tool kit. It’s designed for lifting a Sonex but suitable for some other light aircraft.

Only 205mm long and weighing only 385 grams (that’s 8 inches and 12.4 ounces in old money) it’s an easy fit in your tool kit and handy to have in the hangar and especially on a trip. Manufactured from 6061-T6 with some steel wear parts. Designed to lift 160 kg (350 pounds) but has been tested to over 400 kg – that’s in the ideal conditions of a test machine, not the rough and ready real world.

Price: A$120

General purpose jack

Fitted with a rectangular lift platform suitable for use with other types of landing gear legs. Mass is 415 grams (14.6 ounces).

Clip on hard point

A jack needs something to lift but unfortunately the standard Sonex axles don’t provide that. Here’s a slip on hard point for the standard Sonex axle.

Robust welded steel construction. Price: A$35
